Ganga Mahal Ghat

The Gwalior Maharaj Jayajirao Scindia bought the Ghat in 1864 and built a grand palace alongside the river Ganga, so is the name given Ganga Mahal Ghat.

The Manikarnika ghat is an important place of worship for the Shaktism sect of Hinduism. It is one of the holiest cremation grounds among the sacred ghats, alongside the river Ganges in Varanasi.
