Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi
Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the famous Jyotirlingam which is located in Varanasi, in ancient epics known as Kashi. The history of building the city is antique in itself and very famously recalled by shrine descriptions. It is said that two rivers named as ‘Varana’ and ‘Asi’ met the Ganges at this place, therefore the name ‘Varanasi’ was given to this place.
